The expected vision for 2030 that the consortium intends to achieve through participation in the EIT HEI Initiative is to become a leading hub of innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of Beyond 5G technology. This will be achieved by fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across all partner Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), as well as by developing strong partnerships with external stakeholders in the industry, government, and academia. The project is led by the Universitat Politècnica de València, and its specific objectives are:
- Strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurial capacity of HEIs in the field of Beyond 5G technology.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Innovation Vision Action Plan (IVAP) that will guide HEIs in the development and integration of innovative ideas, research and entrepreneurship activities.
- Foster partnerships between HEIs and external partners in the field of Beyond 5G technology.
- Accelerate the development and commercialization of innovations and businesses by HEI students through an innovation and business development accelerator start-up program.
- Improve the quality of innovation and entrepreneurial education at HEIs in the field of Beyond 5G technology.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, upscaling and transferability of innovations and entrepreneurship activities between HEIs and Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs).
SATRD role in the Skills2Scale project
The role of SATRD mainly consists in project coordination and management and in participating in preparing various formative activities. SATRD undertakes several actions, related to development of training programme for academic staff, coordination of local peer learning and networking events, massive open online course preparation, engagement of people to participate in the project activities, documentation and communication, among others.
