The UPV (and thus SATRD) has recently joined the Alliance for Internet of Things Innovation (AIOTI).
AIOTI was launched by the European Commission in March 2015 within the European Research Cluster on the Internet of Things (IERC) and currently has 200 members consisting mainly of large companies, SMEs and start-ups. Among its activities, the alliance provides support to the European Commission in relation to the future of R&D&I on the Internet of Things and issues such as standardisation and development of policy recommendations on IoT, including the definition and design of pilots to be funded in H2020 and support for the constitution of cross-sectoral consortia.
The AIOTI groups are:
– Agriculture
– Buildings
– Digital for Green
– Distributed Ledger Technologies
– Energy
– Health
– Innovation Ecosystems
– Manufacturing
– Mobility and Logistics
– Policy and Strategies
– Research and Partnerships
– Standardisation
– Testbeds
– Urban Society
From now on, the SATRD will start contributing to the alliance by participating in the technical meetings in close collaboration with the other members. Moreover, the group will support IoT standardization as well as strengthen the integration of technologies in vertical and horizontal fields.
